Facebook allows the user to select an account legatee in the event of death!!

Facebook has just announced a new feature to make life easier for parents and relatives of its users on death. Now, members can designate the heir to their account.

When a member of the social network passes the bucket, you only have a family member or friend notify Facebook of death to the account becomes what is called an account of commemoration. The term "Remembering" is displayed next to the person's name on their profile and friends may possibly share their thoughts in the newspaper. Nobody, for cons can not connect to the account - with the exception of a hypothetical legatee designated upstream.

Indeed, members can now determine an heir. When the time comes, it is for example the latter to post a message at the top of the log. But it can also use common functions of the account, accept as friends or change photos profile and coverage. If the original owner of the account enabled, the legatee may also download an archive containing the photos, contributions and account profile information. Access to private messages as well as the publication of new statutes, however, remain locked.

Alternatively, users can also choose the immediate deletion of their account in case of death.

The feature is not yet available in France, but it is already indicated in with Facebook pages. His date of arrival in France, however, not specified.
