Is TOR guarantee anonymity ?

TOR uses servers called nodes between your computer and the target server you want to access.

For example, suppose you want to access http://www.google.com, we will call the node E.

You are the node A, and your data will go through the Node B also called the input node, and then C and then D which are scattered somewhere in the world.

Until then it's simple, your IP address is hidden because Google will only see the IP address of the last node, which also called the output node before reaching the target server. It will therefore see only the IP address of the node D.

take it all in schematic form:

What's the problem with that?

The problem is that the data from the last node, so here D and the target server is not encrypted.
Google may view the data as clear text.
So there is no problem to use a computer to serve as an output node to sniff the traffic and analyze it before it reaches the server.
The solution is to use SSH to encrypt data between the last node and the server, which is not done by default.

The case NSA

The NSA (National Security Agency) uses node server too. This makes it possible to analyze traffic.
Traffic can be registered but it is still necessary that they know which server the data come.
That is why the NSA servers synchronize themselves with a header or a specific structure.
There is no 100% guarantee that they are the original computer, but the possibility is not excluded either.

Finally, remember when the FBI was hit hard by hacking a website in order to inject malicious JavaScript code.

This code allowed to create a direct connection between the computer and the initial FBI server, giving direct IP address of the person sought.

This means that if the site you want to visit from TOR has a flaw, you can go through 412 knots, even when we meet you.

A word about keyloggers

You can use digital as much as you want, if a malicious program running on your computer, it will recover all your data without any problems.

So do not forget that digital does not prevent other ways to recover data on you.

TOR was created by bypass censorship, not to guarantee perfect anonymity, think about it;)
If you want to earn more anonymity, I advise you to go through a VPN, see being anonymous on the Internet.
