A Chrome extension allows you to copy text from an image

Who has not wanted to do a copy paste of text from an image? With the extension Naphtha Project, you can extract any string of any picture or screen capture, without having to retype everything by hand!

The extension is very fast, easy to use and free! With the extension Project Naphtha, then it becomes easy to isolate the text from an image, copy it and translate it. It is even possible to delete the text, which will effectively regenerate the image without the text. If the result requires some adjustments depending on the quality of the image, most of the characters and words are recognized and you can get your text in your word processor, Word for example.

The Project Naphtha analyzes all the images displayed on the web page of your Chrome browser and will copy the text to use optical character recognition to copy it, or translate it.

The Project Naphtha automatically applies the vision algorithms on each image you see in your Chrome browser. It uses a technique called "inpainting" to reconstruct images after they have been modified by extending, for example when you decide to erase the text.
