Adblock Plus launches Android Web browser

The Adblock Plus developers offer plug-ins for web browsers that allow you to surf the Web without encountering any advertising, or at least without having seen the ads that have been deemed "acceptable" if you choose not not disable this feature.

There are plug-ins Adblock Plus for a range of browsers such as Chrome, Firefox, Opera, Internet Explorer and Android devices. But now there is another option: the developers have designed an Adblock Web browser for Android. In other words, goodbye plugins.

The Adblock browser is essentially a customized version of the open source web browser Mozilla Firefox. In addition, you can simply download Firefox for Android and install a plug-in Adblock, but developers say their browser has a tighter integration with browser bowels, giving them more control over how work on Adblock a mobile device.

This is one reason why Adblock Plus launches its own browser. Another is that the application for Android Adblock Plus never offered support for encrypted connections, which can be very disabling. Theoretically, a standalone browser avoids the second problem and provides developers with the ability to answer the first.

Right now, the Adblock browser is in beta. You can join the beta community on Google Plus for more information and a download link.

It is interesting to note that ad blockers become too common, they could significantly affect the economy of the Internet. Currently, many Web sites store most of their revenue through advertising. If everyone uses the ads blocking software, they must find other sources of income, or close shop.

But at least for applications such as Adblock browser are optional. Users can choose to install or not, and use.

It is also interesting to note that you can add sites to a whitelist so that the Adblock browser displays advertising on your favorite sites.
