Your identity has been stolen? Your phone may be the culprit .... According to a German security expert, nearly 750 million mobile would be susceptible to hacking via a security hole.
We can hack the SIM CARD with an SMS
A simple SMS or Short Message Service, trapped allows to hack the SIM card from a phone, even a high-end phone like the iPhone.
This process can also be used on phones using Windows Mobile and Android. It is a hidden text message to be sent to the target phone.
An error message containing the encoded unique identifier of this phone is returned. It decodes the received code and the SIM card is hacked. It's a matter of one minute.
After taking possession of the code, the hacker can do whatever he wants with this phone without anyone noticing anything.
It can steal data such as credit card or a PayPal account number. It can also place a remote spy software to monitor and spy on the user at will.
How to protect the SIM card from hacks?
To prevent falsified using your phone or access to the information on your SIM card by a third person, just put a lock on the phone with a PIN or Personal Identification Number. For security reasons, we should always enter the PIN.
The PIN 1 allows to safely access the SIM card and the network. This code is automatically provided with the SIM card. After 3 false entries this PIN, the phone is locked and without the PUK code reactivation, it remains blocked.
The PIN2 code protects access to other functions of the mobile phone as block access to the directory. It should also avoid opening and respond to SMS from an unknown.
Finally i want to say that there is another way to hack a SIM Card ... but i will talk about it in another Post .
