How do I cancel an email sent on Gmail?

Do you know that with Gmail, you can cancel sending an email that just posted? And yes, it is possible to cancel your email sending, thanks to an experimental feature in Gmail.

This feature is for 6 years, I personally use several times a month since its launch. But I see around me that very few people know. So I decided to share with you in this post.

To add this option in Gmail, click the cogwheel, top right, scroll to the Settings menu

2. Select Labs from the row of tabs.

3. Scroll all the way to the bottom where you see Undo Send and click Enable.

4. Hit Save Changes at the bottom.

5. Breathe easy.

Now when you send an email, the yellow dialogue that displays "Your message has been sent" will also give you the option to Undo. Click it, and the email will reopen, un-sent, in the composition window.

It defaults so that you have 10 seconds to click before the Undo button disappears, but you can adjust that window of opportunity. Go to Settings > General > Undo Send, and select a cancellation period up to 30 seconds.

Remember that the best support for this blog is to like and share our articles! 😉
