New rumors have emerged on the watch connected second generation of the Cupertino, Apple Watch 2. Indeed, several sources refer to a number of new features, and most interesting of them, is that the watch will not need an iPhone to work.
Apparently, Apple has launched an initiative "tether-less" ("unlimited"), which will enable the second generation of Apple Watch function better without being connected to an iPhone. For those unaware, the current Apple Watch allows its wearers limited functionality without being connected to an iPhone. Indeed, the features like messaging, e-mails or weather reports are not available if you are not connected.
A source speaking to 9to5mac suggests that Apple will now include a new wireless chipset in the Apple Watch 2 that will allow basic tasks to be used without a connection to an iPhone.
A new camera, and the same battery
The source also reports that Apple plans to include a video camera at the top of the Apple Watch 2. So, you'll be able to make and receive calls with FaceTime.
However, if you have the hope of providing better battery autonomy within the second generation Watch, then you might be disappointed. Apparently, Apple is not out to change the battery. Nevertheless, the firm could be carried perform some software settings to improve battery life.
We could also see a new range of Apple Watch 2, not only the model Sport Edition Watch and we have today. There has also been persistent rumors pointing that Apple will release its Watch 2 in other materials, such as titanium and platinum.
