How to fast charge your Smartphone using any USB charger or cable

Charging a regular smartphone or tablet usually takes 2 or 3 hours, a time in which the device has to remain bound to a wall socket or to another power source. Theoretically, this time-frame is seen as unproductive and sometimes irritating by someone who wishes to leave the house with their lawful companion at their side. That’s why most people choose to charge a gadget while they are sleeping or, when the situation gets really irritating, opt for an external battery to avoid being parted from the phone.

The good news is that all these portable devices can be charged faster, in most cases. Depending on the manufacturer, model and the operating system deployed, different methods can be applied to boost the power transmitted by the source and decrease charging times significantly, without major downsides.

Let’s stop dwelling on the problem and start focusing on the solution, shall we?

How chargers Works ?

Basically, when you use a non-official charger, the phone will only get around 350mA of power instead of the full rate.
“The theory behind it is with an “official chargers”: if the middle 2 data pins on the usb, while getting 5v to the outer 2 pins it tells the phone that it is an *official chargers* samsung for example and enables full speed charging.”

A solution has been found to trick your device into accepting no-name chargers.

What we Need ?

- First we need to download Ampere App (free from google play), this App will show you the difference between the charging speed before and after.

-Any USB cable for smartphone.

-And an aluminum foil (you can use the one in the kitchen).

How to reduce charging times for mobile devices

-Now try to charging your phone and turn on Ampere app and see the charging speed it only get around 350mA , right ? OK.

-The trick is very simple just bending the two middle pins of the USB cable with a piece of aluminum.

This will trick your phone into believing that you’re using an official charger, thus, kicking into fast-charge mode, which happens at about 800 – 1000mA.

Do note that there are no risks involved in following the procedure, you can use it safely.
