Nokia is back in the smartphone game...sort of

Hey, Nokia, now that the fashion of the 90s is over, people are waiting for your return! If Nokia has decided to sell its mobile division at Microsoft last year, the Finnish firm has decided to return to the front of the scene when his contract with the technology giant will be allowed in 2016.

In an interview with the German newspaper Manager Magazin, the boss of the Finnish group, Rajeev Suri, confirmed that Nokia will return to the charge with the design and licensing for its own smartphones. The CEO said: "Microsoft will make smartphones. We'll just make the design and licensing of our brand available. " This is a known process for the company, since Nokia has done the same for its N1 Nokia tablet, a device named Nokia and comes with its own Nokia Z launcher installed on the Android operating system.

As I mentioned earlier, Nokia sold its mobile branch to Microsoft in 2014, after failing in its struggle to compete with Apple and Samsung. Overall, the acquisition was more or less a surprise because of the important relationship between the two companies. However, from the beginning we knew that Nokia would continue to conduct some internal projects in the mobile sector.

The Finnish smartphone maker was once the king of the sector when the company was selling its mobile phones. In fact, the six most popular phones were sold by Nokia. Even if you have not owned a Nokia, you have probably heard of the company.

Although Nokia is marketing its own smartphone, the contract does not allow him to do so before the 4th quarter of 2016. As soon as all conditions are met, maybe the new Nokia smartphones will come with the latest version of famous Snake, for the sake of old times?
