Remember, spies are everywhere ;-)
Security researcher Samy Kamkar has released a tool that converts a USB charger keylogger can recover everything people type on keyboards Microsoft Wireless.
For this, it uses:
Arduino or Teensy
An RF chip 2.4GHz
USB battery charger to plug into an outlet
And, optionally, it is possible to add a chip for storage or a card using a SIM card to transmit data remotely.
Cost of installation: Between 10 and $ 80 depending on what you put into it.
This assembly is called KeySweeper can sniff, decipher, save and transmit all input keys from keyboards without Microsoft brand line. A web interface is available to play with the options, set the SMS alerts based on keywords, usernames or URLs and Arduino can continue to operate even after disconnecting with the addition of a small battery.
To operate, KeySweeper operate several "bugs" starting with the fact, as explained Samy, all Microsoft keyboards use the same bits in the first MAC address.
To go further into delirium, Samy has even released a video explaining everything assembly. The goal for him is to show that the encryption that kind of keyboards is insufficient.
Hopefully Microsoft hear the message and put the package to make all this a bit safer.
