Create a portable version of any software

So that most software are not portable, it's that when installing the files are copied to different parts of your computer. Cameyo is an application virtualization tool that tells consolidate all these files into a single executable .exe file, so easily transported on a USB key.

Cameyo first takes a copy of your operating system. This may take tens of minutes. Then you install the software on your computer that you want to make it portable. It makes you ask Cameyo to rescan your computer. In trod, Cameyo detects any newly installed files and creates a single executable file containing all the files normally scattered on your computer. Now you can copy this single file on a USB key and run it on the other computer from your USB drive.

The most is that Cameyo already has a vast library of portable applications that you just download from the utility! So before you try to create your own portable applications, ensure that it does not already exist, you'll save time!

Here is the download link:

Cameyo tutorial:

You just download Cameyo. At first launch, Cameyo ask you to register with an email address and a password. A confirmation email containing a link to click is sent to your email address.

This is the home window Cameyo which is the Studio section.

Before you create your mobile application, go take a ride in the Library tab to see if your application does not already exist.

The area of search on bottom will allow you to go faster.

If this is not the case go back in the Studio tab. We see here that you have already downloaded your application (in non-portable mode) and that it is ready to be installed.

So click on the camera (capture app locally).

A window appears in the bottom right indicating that Cameyo is currently doing a screenshot of your computer. This may take about 10 minutes.

Once completed, a new window appears prompting you to install your software. Make it and when finished click Install Done.

Cameyo then takes a new snapshot of your computer.

A message appears you announcing the success of the operation. Click Ok.

If Cameyo has closed, restart the computer and go to the tab. You should see your application. To access the file right click and click on exploring on disk. Your file appears in Windows Explorer with .cameyo.exe extension.

It'll just test it and then copy it to a USB drive or other supports.
