CMOS is a memory circuit that stores the low level parameters such as the system time, the boot password, the speed of your fans, the latency of memory, peripherals boot order and generally all BIOS settings for your motherboard.

So to remove the bios password, we'll emptied CMOS. For this, there are two methods: hardware and software.

1. Pile method:

This is the hardware method, it is to remove the battery for at least 30 seconds, it reset the BIOS password.

In the case of laptop do not forget to remove your battery and power cable.


2. PC CMOS Cleaner:

This is the software method, if you do not want to touch the inside of your PC.

Just download the iso PC CMOS Cleaner, burn and kick your CD.

Once the PC CMOS Cleaner is started, follow these steps:

Click on the button next


After you have 2 choices:

Choice 1: removes only the password for the BIOS.
Choice 2: is a default reset your BIOS (return to factory settings).


In our case, we choose Option 1 to remove the password.


Finally restart your PC, and here the password of your BIOS is deleted.
