A MAC address is a unique identifier for a computer network hardware (ethernet or wifi, router, etc ...). Assigned by the manufacturer, it is generally represented by 12 letters and numbers separated both characters with a hyphen, colon, or a space. Example: "12: A2: GG: 54: M8: G4".
