HTC One E9 +: a smartphone with a 5.5 inch screen launched in China

The latest HTC flagship smartphone for the US and European markets is the HTC One M9, a smartphone with a 5-inch screen and a metal frame, similar to its predecessor, the One M8. But the company has just introduced a larger model, partly made of plastic, and launched in China. Like many rumors left to imply in recent weeks, he was named the HTC One + E9.

The smartphone also has a MediaTek processor rather than a Qualcomm chip, we are used to find devices within the Taiwanese firm.

According to information relayed by Engadget, and the website of the firm, the HTC One E9 + is a smartphone that has a 2K screen, although the specifications in its product describe a smartphone with a screen with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels.

A similar device called the HTC One E9 with a screen offering 2660 x 1440 pixels recently presented on the website TENAA, which is the equivalent of the FCC in China, and it seems likely that the resolution maximum for this model to be an option.


The smartphone is powered by a MediaTek MT6795M processor running at 2 GHz, enabling the latter to distinguish the HTC One M9, which has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 chip embedded. While MediaTek chips may be less common in the headlights smartphones sold in the West, the latest processors from Chinese chipmaker are quite powerful.

Other features include 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage, and a micro-SD card slot with up to 128 GB of additional storage. The smartphone has a camera of 13 megapixel rear camera and a front camera 4 UltraPixels. It offers support for 802.11ac Wi-Fi connectivity, has Bluetooth 4.1 chip, NFC and GPS. The HTC One E9 + a speaker BoomSound on the front, and a battery of 2800 mAh.

There is currently no word on a release date of HTC One E9 + or its price, and it is likely that the firm does not sell it outside of Asia.
