This key Chromebit HDMI is a PC under $ 100

Ultra portable seem to be fashionable at the moment, and users are becoming more accustomed and addicted to have devices they can carry with them wherever they go. However, for some, a full-sized laptop is still a bit too heavy from day to day, and for them, a small key could be the ideal solution.

Chrome OS is an operating system based on a browser that was used for Chromebooks, the Chromeboxes and Chromebases. These are primarily for laptops, desktops and peripherals all-in-one designed to work with the Google platform.

Today, say hello to the Asus Chromebit. It's still a computer, but has the distinction of being tiny that it closely resembles a USB stick. And like any self-respecting key, know that you can plug into the HDMI port that Chromebit on a monitor or TV to turn it into a PC running Chrome OS.

It is planned to be launched this summer for less than $ 100, and Google and Asus Chromebit positioned as a solution for schools or businesses, although I suspect that some consumers may be tempted by it.

But this is not really the first PC sold in this form that we see in the market. Models designed to perform another platform from Google, Android, are sold in China since 2012, and now Dell even sells his model named Wyse Cloud Connect.

More recently, we have begun to see manufacturers offer models with Intel Bay Trail processors, and have Windows. Intel will market the same Intel Compute Stick, a small computer that will be available in two variants: Linux and Windows.

But the Asus Chromebit is the first device of this type should be included with Chrome OS from Google. It has a Rockchip RK3288 quad-core processor, much like the new line of Chromebooks unveiled today. It should also carry Mali 760 graphics chip, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage, Wi-Fi connectivity, Bluetooth 4.0 and USB 2.0 port.

An exact release date is not available, but Asus is summer 2015.
