At CES 2015, Livescribe has announced that its digital pens Livescribe 3 would support Android devices in spring 2015. Now that spring is finally here, the smartpen from Livescribe manufacturer submitted +, an Android app on Google Play Store. The app is available on iOS for some time.
The Livescribe Link + application for Android gives users the ability to transfer notes Livescribe smartpen 3 to search by writing, convert to digital text, and easily share their notes to PDF. Digital pens now can finally synchronize both the devices iOS and Android, so users can have notes wherever they go. The only thing Livescribe application on Android can not do is to automatically send notes to Evernote and OneNote. The company says these features will be added in a future update.
The application supports devices running Android 4.4 and higher KitKat, and offering support for Bluetooth LE. For the application to work correctly, Android users also need to download the application Livescribe Link, which manages the Bluetooth connection between their digital pens and Livescribe + application. The Link application will also manage third-party applications that use the Android SDK from Livescribe.
Greg Wong, director of product management, said that "Livescribe + for Android is much more than carry our iOS app." It offers the same functionality and has been designed from scratch to meet the Android interface.
If you have not bought a digital pen Livescribe 3, the company is offering up to $ 25 off a new Livescribe 3 through its website, as well as its partners.
